Democratic Republic of Congo’s honorary former leader Joseph Kabila is close to making his first public statement over the political and security situation in the country.
Kabila who has been forced out of the country by his ruthless successor Félix Tshisekedi since leaving power, will finally speak out on the ongoing situation in the DRC.
Barbara Nzimbi, the former president’s press aide, has confirmed that Joseph Kabila will landing soon on the global social network X (formerly Twitter) in the next few days.
“An official account will be operational in a few days,” said Nzimbi.
Ms Nzimbi has asked the Congolese to stay connected and alert for the return of Kabila to the public.
Having maintained an lengthy silence and absence from the public, Kabila has recently been accused by Félix Tshisekedi of being the main mastermind of the AFC/M23 rebels’ war operations in eastern DRC.
