Democratic Republic of Congo’s leader Félix Tshisekedi is gathering support he can get to back his Constitution revision proposal.
Tshisekedi, desperate to change the constitution to secure an illegal third term as president, and has also turned to expired political figures for support.
Former Prime Ministers Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde and his predecessor Aldophe Muzito have both resurfaced on to the political scene and announced their support for Tshisekedi’s proposal.
On Monday, Sama Lukonde and Muzito’s made their announcements to support Tshisekedi who wants to put the the main and critical members of the Sacred Union to state their stances on his proposal.
Vital Kamerhe, Jean-Pierre Bemba and Modeste Bahati Lukwebo have all left Tshisekedi in suspense so far with their hesitance to state whether they will support the revision proposal or not.
