Outgoing President Fèlix Tshisekedi and his shameless camp are remaining unrepentant and thirst to incacerate and eliminate the opposition even as the end to their regime draws near.
Opposition Congo Ya Makasi coalition candidate Moïse Katumbi’s ally Franck Diongo has been summoned to come before the Public Prosecutor at Kinshasa’s Gombe High Court.
Diongo has been guided to present himself at the court on Tuesday, 26 December for a misdemeanor, according to the letter sent by the Public Prosecutor.
The Public Prosecutor has also warned the Movement Lumbiste Progressite (MLP) leader that failure to appear before the court will attract sanctions.
Diongo now looks likely to spend the rest of his post-Christmas period in the custody of authorities starting this Tuesday.
Only last week, Diongo narrowly survived assassination at his home after being attacked by Tshisekedi and the ruling UDPS party thugs in Kinshasa.
After the likes of Salomon Kalonda Della, Jean-Marc Kabund, and journalist Stanis Bujakera plus many more, Diongo has emerged as the latest opposition figure being targeted for unjust detention by Tshisekedi and his Kasai cohorts.
