APPOINTMENT: Barbara Kanam, Didier Masela Get Public Offices

Musician Barbara Mutundu Kanam has been appointed Director General of the Cultural Promotion Fund (FPC) while guitarist and co-founder of the legendary Wenge Musica orchestra, Didier Masela, has been appointed Deputy Managing Director.

According to the announcement, Ngoy Dioko Emany will serve as Chairman of the FPC Board of Directors.

The appointments are seen as an appeasement for the art industry ahead of the December 20, 2023 presidential and parliamentary elections.
