Democratic Republic of Congo international Chadrack Akolo has promised the Leopards will deliver a positive result in their must-win encounter against Gabon in the Ivory Coast 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Sebastien Desabre’s side recently regrouped in Kinshasa to prepare for this weekend’s crucial encounter against the Panthers to be played on Saturday in Franceville, Gabon.
After four matches played, the Leopards sit bottom of Group I with 4 points and will have to win against Gabon to enliven their chances of qualifying for the AFCON to be held next year in January.
Speaking in an interview as the team continues preparing for the crucial encounter, attacker Akolo of St. Gallen in the Swiss top-flight, says the Leopards have what it takes to deliver the much needed victory next Saturday.
“There are many issues. It’s a decisive game for us. We will have to approach it calmly especially with the new players, and all the staff. I am confident everything is going well” Akolo said.
Akolo is one of the players expected to turn up to the occasion on Saturday after a decent season in the Swiss top-flight as he scored 12 goals.
