The Democratic Republic of Congo has been given up to July 22, 2023 to inform CAF of the venue for the conluding group fixture against Sudan on September 4.
The new Minister of Sports, François Kabulo Mwana Kabulo, had pledged that by the time the sixth group match will be played, the Leopards will fulfill their fixture in Kinshasa.
However, time is running out and the Congolese Football Federation will have to decide and most likely settle for Stade de Mazembe in Lubumbashi which is the only approved facility in the country.
CAF has set the deadline for submission of venue as July 22, 2023.
The Normalization Committee must communicate the name of the stadium in which the match between DR Congo and Sudan will be played.
Stade de Mazembe in Lubumbashi hosted the last home fixture against Mauritania and is the only choice unless DRC want to play either in Congo Brazzaville, Cameroon or Zambia.
