Democratic Republic of Congo’s (DRC) imposter president Félix Tshisekedi has come under scrutiny in the wake of deadly floods in the capital, Kinshasa where at least 33 people have lost their lives.
Residents of Kinshasa have expressed their anger and dissatisfaction against Tshisekedi and his government for failing to own up to their promise to better the lives of the Congolese population.
On Monday, Tshisekedi visited the Tata-Raphaël Stadium which has been turned into an emergency shelter for over 600 Kinshasa residents who admonished the Head of State.
Visiting the victims in the company of his wife first lady Denise Nyakeru, Tshisekedi was booed by the floods victims who rejected his attempt to provide answers to the crowd’s plee for government to conduct various road and drainage projects in the capital to address the flooding situation.
Due to a lack of maintenance and an adequate network, water drainage routes are generally clogged with garbage in Kinshasa even after Tshisekedi and his regime’s seven year stay in which they have failed to come to the aid of the people of Kinshasa.
