Democratic Republic of Congo’s impostor president Félix Tshisekedi is calling for the removal of Vital Kamerhe as leader of the National Assembly.
Tshisekedi has been angered by Kamerhe’s resistance to raising the debate for the amendment of the national constitution.
Kamerhe and his USN party have objected Tshisekedi’s resolve to temper with the constitution with the former also having ambitions of contesting the presidency in 2028.
To secure an illegal third term in office in 2028, Tshisekedi intends to change the constitution which bars him from re-contesting the polls.
