FATSHI’S HEALTH WORSENS: Tshisekedi Transferred to New Hospital in Belgium as Health Deteriorates

Democratic Republic of Congo President Félix Tshisekedi has been transferred to a new specialist hospital in Brussels, Belgium as his health deteriorated over past few days.

Tshisekedi was repatriated to Belgium last week to undergo surgery at a private hospital but his health has not improved despite having received treatment for close to a week.

Sources have revealed that Tshisekedi was yesterday transferred to Delta Hospital in Brussels where he is being treated for a prostate problem.

Dr. Gilbert Kabanda Kurhenga, a former Minister in the DR Congo, is said to have facilitated the ailed Tshisekedi’s transfer to the new specialist hospital in Brussels where the former is based.

Tshisekedi has since started receiving treatment administered by an expatriate urologist alongside a Congolese doctor who has been identified as Dr. Okende.

The Head of State’s health has become a major source of concern in the DR Congo with reports indicating that Tshisekedi has been struggling with herniated cervical disc problem, a heart problem and now prostate complications.
