Since Félix Tshisekedi was sworn in on January 20, 2024 after his re-election in the 20 December polls, the government of immediate past Prime Minister Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde has been running the day-to-day business for nearly four months and have therefore not been able to make major decisions that commit the country.
Even the country’s financial movements are very limited.
In simple and concrete terms, the Democratic Republic of the Congo has been without a government since the re-election and swearing-in of Tshisekedi.
New Prime Minister Judith Suminwa Tuluka, appointed on April 1, 2024, has now clocked a month in office since and while she may be taking time to consult the political class and civil society, she has been rather too slow to form her government.
In both the National Assembly and the Senate, offices have been diligently set up but the delay in forming government is dragging the process to elect and install the members of the final board way beyond its needed time.

Rwanda continues to trample upon on all calls and orders from the international community, to withdraw its men from the DRC. Thousands of deaths are counted every day, social life is more than painful, it is unbearable and Tshisekedi does not appear to care.
